Sam's Scrapbook Process : Day of the Dead

So today hasn't been the best as we said final farewells to my Nan who passed away last Friday and between then and today has been the longest week waiting for the funeral!

The day went as well as expected but when I came home I just wanted to distract myself so sat in craftroom and with fresh photos of my Nieces from Halloween sitting on desk I thought I would scrap them.

The first layout is Amelia dressed as a Corpse Bride dragging her groom to the alter which will be me and Adam if he doesn't get his finger out and let me book our wedding only been waiting 11 years :-) Her face painting is very Day of the Dead so that's where initial inspiration came from. If I was very brave and not a chicken I'd get a sugar skull tattoo ... shhh don't tell mam lol! 31 year old and not allowed a tattoo!

The digital kit I used was the Day of the Dead doodles by Kate Hadfield

The sugar skull is just from google and glitter and gem letter stickers from the poundshop.

Sam's Scrapbook Process : Cupcake Queen

Happy New Years Eve Eve! WOW it is nearly 2014!!! Where has this year gone?

I am quite behind in my scrapbooking I really haven't scrapped as much this year as I did last year so that is one of my new years resolutions to get caught up! I think I said that last year as well lol!

I have decided to go back to my roots of scrapbooking - back to my good old 8x8 layouts well this is more like 8.5x8.5 but that is because I picked up wrong size page protectors!

This is just a quick and simple layout using squares of paper to fill the space.

Sam's Scrapbook Process : Prima Ballerina

Hi

Hope everyone is well.

Just fancied getting some paint out tonight but not to go on walls :-) 

This is a quick layout I used only 1 photo and it isn't even a amazing photo as its from phone but its only one I've managed to get of my niece in her ballet class.

I saw this layout on Pintrest and I took a quick pick on my phone. This was my inspiration for my layout. but mine looks rubbish as the paint all looks same colour once it dried! 

I used:

• Red and White paint and mixed to make different shades of pink
• Recollection Ballet chipboard stickers.
• White boarder stickers
• White heart Doily

It was a quick layout which took longer for paint to dry and to peal the fiddly boarder stickers.

Decided to do another 8x8 layout today.

It was a very quick page but love how it turned out. Just love this photo of my niece Amelia we were sitting crafting and she was examining each gem with alot of thought. We had some sticky gems so stuck them on her ears like they were pierced and she was strutting about making sure her hair was behind her ears so you could see them it was adorable!

Sam's Scrapbook Process : Mischief Maker

Hope everyone is doing well. I am counting down the days till my holidays, really cant wait to get away!! Eeek i'm super excited!!

Anyways.. I signed up for a scrapbook kit every 2 months from Crafty Templates

I got the March/April kit -  Pocket Full Of Posies Quirky Kit a few weeks ago and everything was so nice I really couldn't bring myself to cut into the papers!!

Quick video of the full kit - be warned I am tired and could not get words out and kept saying the wrong thing!

I eventually cut into them and made a page for my niece's 8x8 album.

I used a few extra's from my stash:

I cut 3 Polaroid frames out to put my pictures in. I tried to stamp on one of the frames and made a mistake so had to cover it with washi tape - grr!

Didn't turn out as I imagined but I still think it looks ok.
