I was getting a bit sick of the white background on the images so I coloured this in blue I had to do it a few times as colouring with Copic Markers it kept leaving streaks. If anyone know how do coloured background shading or knows of any YouTube tutorials please send me the link as I am rubbish at shading :-(
I dangled a gold bell on a bow in the flowers for something a little different.
These are the other poinsettia's I made.
I had some confetti gold stars which I stuck on some white craft wire so they are like little star stick pins.
I Wanted to share some more Christmas cards I have made this weekend.
Using the Lilly of the Vally Die Cut Images
I cut the lamp post with a template I found on Google but I've lost the link and didn't save the template so pretty gutted this will be a one off lamp post like this one. This was a per-embossed card with snowflakes and it had a blank square in the middle and I couldn't think of anything to do with them as they were so just used the top of it and put some little snow mounds at the bottom to make a little scene.
This one even tho it looks alot simpler took me ages as I made the felt poinsettia's and sewed the mini buttons on. I found a template for them online. Used red felt for the flowers and Green wool paper for the leaf part.I have made some white ones with gold centres but not sure which card I will use them on yet.
So I have summoned the will to go into my craft room.
Maybe because I got some goodies delivered!? Probably.
I have made a start on my Christmas cards and these are what I have made.
I love them both but I think the LOTV one with the postbox is my favourite. I am going to make a few more like this. I am hoping to get some crafting done over the bank holiday - yey 3 days off work.
Adam is taking me to the Beamish Museum on Saturday I cant wait!! I have not been for about 11-12 years so hopefully there are newer things to see this time. I will be taking loads of photos so will have to scrap them.
