Lost my craft mojo and have been busy decorating and dealing with the paperwork for the adoption (which for anyone interested we have decided not to go ahead with it!)
I have been doing alot of reading as well lately sharing a few different books with my mam. So all my spare time I have had my head in the books reading my new fav author Catherine King.
I have had this idea in my head for ages but never got round to making it so tonight I decided to make an effort.
Apologies for the video quality as taken on my mobile.
I took the glass out of a 10x8 (20x25cm) frame and made a scrapbook page for my nan. I tried to stain the wood frame with some wood dye I had from staining the wood floor some years ago but only to find out this is not proper wood LOL!!
I used a selection of old buttons and chipboard clocks, I didn't want to use flowers as this is a masculine page about my Grandad.
Papers used are DCWV and Joanna Sheen and distressed and inked the edges with Tim Holtz Old Paper and Colorbox Chestnut Roan.
Used a chipboard title with a lovely family saying on and some gold photo corners to finish of the photo.
Really hope my nan likes it. I think I will make her another one of my niece so she can put one on either side of her clock on the fireplace.
Hope everyone is well
Sam xx

Very nice! Your grandma will love that gift.
Also, glad to know you are doing okay. Have a good week!
Hi Sam, love this project and I'm sure your gran is going to love it too - speaking as a gran myself that will be even if the frame doesn't match her others! Sorry to hear of your decision to give up on the adoption process, though I'm sure your reasons are good ones. Elizabeth x
