"Something I Love" December YTLH©

First Off I would like to say I DID NOT draw this picture it is an Image by Saturated Canary - Librarian which is printed on my computer large and traced onto my project using tracing paper. I am rubbish at drawing!! I changed some of the image once I traced it and left bits off which I didn't want on.

I made this in my SMASH Book so it is not a traditional layout. This documents the books I have read over the past 3 years.

I even got my embossing powders out and put the names of some of my favourite authors on the book spines, the screws of her glasses and the pears on her glasses chain.

I am so in love with this way of scrapping/documenting life at the minute that I will be doing a few more art layouts in my SMASH Book soon.

The only thing which I found hard was actually pulling pages out of a book to make the background (it was a book I didn't like or want but it felt so wrong!!)

Happy New Years Eve Eve! WOW it is nearly 2014!!! Where has this year gone?

I am quite behind in my scrapbooking I really haven't scrapped as much this year as I did last year so that is one of my new years resolutions to get caught up! I think I said that last year as well lol!

I have decided to go back to my roots of scrapbooking - back to my good old 8x8 layouts well this is more like 8.5x8.5 but that is because I picked up wrong size page protectors!

This is just a quick and simple layout using squares of paper to fill the space.

Reindeer Food

Evening all/ or should I say morning it is 3am here - Just realised the time!!

Some of the girls at work today were talking about Santa's letters and his magic key you can get and it got me thinking about the reindeer food I had seen people making last year.

So tonight I made some:

I have had these snowflake bags for about 2 maybe 3 years in my cake decorating box! I think I got them from DollarTree.

I found this cute Free Printable Reindeer Food Label by Anders-Ruff

The hanging tag I cut from original in paint - hope this isn't copyright infringement - I'm not selling them tho so hopefully I wont get wrong.

The Reindeer food is just Porridge Oats and blue glitter.

I think I should of put more glitter in but I didn't have any silver and ran out of blue.

Aperture Christmas Cards

Hi Everyone

Since moving to my new craft room I have found alot of old stuff I forgot I had, so I have been going through trying to use them up.

I found some tags which I I have had for well over 4 years and I made a Youtube video here as I didnt have a clue how to use them in 2010!

I also had some Aperture cards which I bought in Michaels for $1 which I didnt know how to use.

5 years on and I have finally figured it out!

Repurposing old store bought cards into new handmade cards

Good Evening everyone ... 30 days till Christmas!! eek I haven't started my shopping yet and still have so many cards left to make!!

So I am a little bit of a horder and since moving all my stuff into my new craft room have I found this out!!  I don't throw away cards I receive for birthdays and Christmas. I have made some new cards for Christmas using some old store bought ones I have received over the years.

I love how they turned out totally different from the original cards they were printed on.

 The images on all these cards came from store bought ones and I had kept them because I loved them and wanted to re-use them some how. I love how they turned out.

Sam's Scrapbook Process : Hounds of Hell

Hi

Hope everyone is well. I haven't made any Sam's Scrapbook Process videos in a while so thought I would try and get caught up on some layouts.

Since Halloween is just around the corner we decided to buy the furry boys a costume as I have never bought them a Halloween one before. So we bought a Devil and a Witch one from the £Shop. Only to get home to find part of the Witch costume was missing .. boohoo! Well for the sake of a £1 I wasn't going to return it so I just had to put the Devil one on both of them and take a quick photo.

I put the photos in EyeEm as it keeps the photo rectangle instead of cropping into square like Instagram. I put some cool filters on them which made them look a tad more dark and spooky :-)

The idea came from a layout I saw on my Facebook feed which is by Scrapbook Treds Magazine.

I loved the layout and thought I would give it a go.

Here is the layout I made:

I thought the title fitted as the dogs are Hounds.

Sam's Scrapbook Process : Happily Ever After

Hi

Hope everyone is well.

Haven't been scrapbooking lately just joining in the YTLH once a month and am getting quite behind in my albums. I am also trying to get a start on my Christmas cards as I dont want to leave it till the last minute as always.

Anyways since I am scrapping some of my family history photos I thought I would scrap some of my nan and grandad's wedding photos there were hundreds to choose from but I just went with 3 for this layout.

Adam bought me a Silhouette Cameo for my birthday which I have been asking for quite a few years.

I am still learning how to use it and trying to keep it boxed while not using it as we are still decorating my new craftroom. 

I cut out the title from the Silhouette online store: 
they lived happily ever after by Megan Hardy Designs
